• To establish and assist in the maintenance of an organization that supports the professional development of producers in western Canada.
• To identify learning needs and implement training opportunities for farmers and communities.
• To enable/encourage FLC members to participate or lead in community economic development projects.
• To proactively determine producer issues and enable them to contribute to the development of agriculture through increased knowledge and understanding.
• To establish a structure and framework which will allow for collaboration and interaction between Viterra Inc. and the Farm Leadership Co-operative representatives at the corporate and local level on all matters of importance and value between them.
• To proactively maintain an ongoing role for farmer representatives in the business of Viterra Inc.
• To annually elect/select 4 nominees & 2 alternates to Viterra Inc.’s Board of Directors
• To provide leadership/facilitate farm groups working together to define and implement common goals to drive change.
